Psilocybe

A psilocybe is a specific genus of gilled mushrooms. It is found all over the world, with numerous species in the category. The vast majority of the species in this genus contain psilocybin, which is a psychedelic compound. Most of the species in the genus are located in temperate regions, with a significant concentration in Brazil and Chile. The mushrooms grow well in moist habitats, particularly those that are landscaped using woodchips and mulch. The mushrooms become rarer in areas that are far away from areas inhabited by humans. These mushrooms can also be found in grassy and mossy areas.
