Psilocybin

Psilocybin is a potent psychedelic compound that occurs naturally. Psilocybin is produced in more than 200 species of fungi, most notably the genus of mushroom Psilocybe. When someone takes psilocybin, it is quickly metabolized into psilocin, which leads to powerful mind-altering effects. The effects are similar to those of DMT, LSD, and mescaline. Some of the most common effects experienced with psilocybin include changes in sensory perception, visual, mental, and auditory hallucinations, a distorted sense of time, and powerful spiritual experiences. Some of the most common side effects include anxiety and nausea. Psilocybin has been used since the dawn of human history. The intensity and duration of the effects of psilocybin can vary significantly depending on the type of mushroom, the dosage taken, and the tolerance of the individual.
